Mr. Wilson is a UN War Crimes Commission agent on the hunt for Nazi fugitive Franz Kindler, a war criminal who has destroyed any evidence that may lead to his capture. He has left no traces of his identification other than "a interest that borders on mania—clocks."Wilson frees Kindler's erstwhile partner Meinike in the hopes of tracking down Kindler. Wilson pursues Meinike to a small Connecticut hamlet, but he loses track of him before meeting with Kindler. Kindler has changed his name to "Charles Rankin" and is now teaching at a nearby prep school. He is going to marry Mary Longstreet, the daughter of Supreme Court (SCOTUS) Justice Adam Longstreet, and is working on restoring the town's 400-year-old Habrecht-style clock mechanism, which crowns the belfry of a church in the town square, with religious automata.CAST:Edward G.
