The Terror is a 1963 Independent American grindhouse horror film produced and directed by Roger Corman. The plot concerns a French officer who is seduced by an intriguing woman who is also a shapeshifting devil. The film is sometimes linked to Corman's Poe cycle, a series of movies based on the works of Edgar Allan Poe; however, The Terror is not based on any text written by Poe. The movie has become famous because of the circumstances of its production, including the fact all of Boris Karloff's scenes were shot in two days, the long time it took to complete, the number of people who worked on it that became famous, and the part the film played in the financing and production of Targets (1968), directed by Peter Bogdanovich, starring Karloff.[2]Corman wrote in his memoirs that The Terror "began as a challenge : to shoot most of a gothic film in two days using left over sets from The Raven. It turned into the longest production of my career – an ordeal that required five directors and nine months to complete. But like Little Shop [of Horrors], it's a classic story of how to make a film out of nothing."[3]The film was also released as Lady of the Shadows, The Castle of Terror, and The Haunting.

Silent Night, Bloody Night (Also released as Night of the Dark Full Moon and Death House) is a 1972 American horror film directed by Theodore Gershuny and co-produced by Lloyd Kaufman. The film stars Patrick O'Neal and cult actress Mary Woronov in leading roles, with John Carradine in a supporting performance. The plot follows a series of murders that occur in a small town on Christmas Eve after a man inherits a family estate which was once an insane asylum.

Many of the cast and crew members were former Warhol superstars: Mary Woronov, Ondine, Candy Darling, Kristen Steen, Tally Brown, Lewis Love, filmmaker Jack Smith and artist Susan Rothenberg. It was filmed in Oyster Bay, Long Island, New York in 1970 but was not released theatrically until 1972.

Silent Night, Bloody Night played primarily at drive-in theaters beginning in November 1972 before disappearing into obscurity. The film was later shown on Elvira's Movie Macabre, part of WWOR-TV's Fright Night beginning in 1978, and became a staple of late-night television in the November and December months. Despite the film's dark subject matter and depictions of violence, the network chose to air it at Christmastime each year. Executive Larry Casey commented on it, saying, "Don't get me wrong. I loved White Christmas and traditional holiday movies. But how many times can you watch those things? We always pushed the envelope on Fright Night, and Silent Night, Bloody Night was a great fit. WOR never got any complaints for showing it that I heard about."

Since its release the film has fallen into public domain and is now available on DVD from various entertainment companies that specialize in public domain films, though many of the prints on these editions are of extremely poor quality. The majority of the prints used on DVDs were sourced from a VHS transfer released by Paragon Video in the 1980s.

A high-definition restored print of the film (sourced from the original master of the Death House print) was released on DVD by Film Chest on December 10, 2013. The same print was also used for a DVD release by boutique company Code Red in 2013, in a limited edition double-feature paired with Invasion of the Blood Farmers (1972).

Please before giving a thumbs down, most of these movies are in terrible condition, so don't expect miracles! I use a lot of electricity to enhance them as best as I can. I hope you enjoy what I do. Thank you for watching, you are appreciated greatly!

If you have any requests, please comment and I will do my best for you. As long as the requested movies are in the public domain, I can convert to colour and upload here for you to enjoy.

This movie took 17 hours to convert to colour in 4K resolution. I first removed as much grain as possible with de-noising. After that, I upscaled it to 4K and increased the frame rate to 60fps followed by AI colourising and AI facial enhancement. I hope you enjoy the end result!

This movie is in the public domain. There are also many other uploads of this movie across Youtube channels and the archive in it's original black and white form.
